Ben Jones Bridge House in Depoe Bay |
|
DEPOE BAY. Located about two miles south of Depoe Bay this sprawling home overlooks the beautiful Pacific Ocean and the historic Ben Jones Bridge. Constructed on the Oregon Coast Highway in 1927 the Rocky Creek Bridge also known as the Ben Jones Bridge is one of the most beautifully sited bridges in the state. The bridge spans a small gorge in a picturesque section of the Oregon Coast. This span is 360 feet long with a 160 foot-long reinforced concrete rib deck main arch and is named for the "Father of the Coast Highway." This home offers unparalleled ocean views and even comes with 2 resident seagulls Ralph and Maudie. A special feeding bowl is attached to the deck railing and popcorn is their food of choice. "We had a wonderful, wonderful week, and we love that house!!! The view is the best on the coast, and the house is stocked with everything we needed and more. We saw dolphins and a bald eagle and fell in wildly in love with seagulls Ralph and Maudie. We even loved the drizzly weather, which made the coastline seem like a pastel painting. We will be sure to call Oregon Shores for our next family gathering at the Ben Jones Bridge House." -- Julie This rental is NOT pet friendly. NO SMOKING in this home!
